Sherry glazed chicken can be prepared in many ways. Importantly, they all have a common denominator: exquisite taste and simplicity in cooking.

The nutritional aspect of the described dish is also extremely important. First of all, the glazed chicken you prepare is particularly rich in protein, among other things.

Glazed chicken with sherry and mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 250 g of fresh sliced ​​mushrooms
  • ½ chicken breasts, cut into strips (200 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil (15 ml)
  • ½ cup of dry sherry (100 ml)
  • a bit of wheat flour
  • ½ cup of chicken broth (100 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons of dried tarragon (30 g)
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • ½ finely chopped onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • First, cut the chicken into strips, then season to taste, and most of all: roll it gently in wheat flour.
  • Then heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken on each side until golden brown. This process may take 6 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In the same oil, fry celery, onion and mushrooms.  Importantly, let the ingredients come in for a while and then add the stock, tarragon, and sherry. Simmer everything over high heat, stirring constantly, until you get the consistency of a thick sauce.
  • Finally: add chicken to the sauce and cook for a few more minutes. The sauce should completely cover the chicken breasts. Ready!

Recipe 2 – glazed chicken with sherry and mushrooms

You’ll soon find out that glazed chicken has more than one name, so it’s worth learning a few ways to cook it so you don’t fall into a flavoring routine! Here is another and, above all, a very simple recipe.

Ingredients

  • 120 g of mushrooms
  • ½ glasses of sherry (125 ml)
  • 4 chicken thighs (150 g)
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil (30 ml)
  • ½ onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Preparation

  • First, heat the oil in a pan. Season the chicken legs and start frying.
  • Then season with garlic and add the finely chopped onion, right next to the chicken in the pan.
  • Importantly, add a glass of water and sherry. Cook for a few minutes until the chicken is tender.
  • Now it’s time for the sliced ​​mushrooms, which also need to be added to the rest of the ingredients.
  • First of all, let it boil for another 10 minutes and then season with salt. Enjoy your meal!

Chicken with garlic and sherry

Ingredients

  • 1 clove of garlic
  • whole chicken, sliced ​​(about 1 kg.)
  • 1 glass of sherry or white wine (200 ml)
  • a few sprigs of parsley
  • Oil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Preparation

  • At the very beginning, of course, remember to wash the chicken thoroughly and season it to taste. Then heat the oil needed to fry the chicken in a large frying pan. When the meat is golden – move on to the next stage.
  • Importantly, you should fry a clove of garlic and parsley in a pot. Everything on medium heat. Next: add pieces of previously fried chicken.
  • Time for sherry (white wine if you prefer). Cook everything for 25 minutes, until the chicken is not soft enough.
  • First of all, be sure to turn the meat over so that it does not stick to the pan. Season with salt.

Glazed chicken with sherry and orange

The sherry production process takes place in open barrels, and the strengthening is done by adding brandy. Importantly, sherry should not be confused with another alcoholic drink,  cherry cordial  – cherry liqueur.

Ingredients

  • The juice of 1 orange
  • 1 large chicken, sliced ​​(1 ½ kg)
  • 1 small onion
  • ¾ glass of sweet sherry (150 ml)
  • A little tomato
  • Cut 150 g of ham into pieces
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of flour (5 g)
  • Two glasses of water (400 ml)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • In a saucepan, heat enough oil to easily fry the chicken that has previously been seasoned with salt.  Then, when the meat turns golden: remove it from the oil and set it aside.
  • Remove excess oil, leave the amount necessary to prepare the sauce. Next, chop the onion and cut the tomato into smaller pieces. Add them to the pot, and when the tomato has lost its juices, add a tablespoon of flour and stir for a minute.
  • Again, add the chicken, water, importantly: orange juice, sherry, ham and, above all, cinnamon.
  • Importantly, when the sauce starts to boil – lower the temperature, cover and cook for an hour. Remember to turn the meat over every now and then to avoid burning it.
  • Seasoning with salt will be the culmination of the dish. Everything is ready!
