Love – Does It Have Age Or Is It Timeless?

Have you ever lost your head to someone much older or younger than you? You’re not alone. Remember: Love is only old if you give it yourself
Love - Does It Have Age or Is It Timeless?

Many people will deny that love has an age, yet they are also very strict when looking at a romantic relationship in which there is a significant age difference between the partners.

This is because we are still guided by all sorts of prejudices. Something in our head tells us: When he becomes a few years older, he will be an old man , or: What will happen when the prose of life overtakes us?

The truth is, there is no need to worry about starting a relationship just because of your partner’s age. It is best to let your heart guide you. Does love really have any age?

Are you concerned about what other people say?

It happens that the reason for ending a relationship is not a matter of age, but a lack of faith that it can be done. This is what society – and your friends – tell you, and even if you don’t want to admit it, they have a big influence on you.

Even so, why do we always think at the beginning that everything will work out? Everything is easier in the first weeks or months when our dreams and expectations take us to the dream world.

This is the time when anything is possible. However, when the rose-colored glasses fall from our eyes, we start to worry: “What are they going to say?”

Even if you don’t want to admit it, any such worries apply to you:

  1. When he gets older, the day will come when you will have to look after him. This is one of the first thoughts that comes to mind in such situations.

But you may as well be with someone the same age as you, and some accident will make them dependent on you for the rest of your life. The only difference is that it is due to an accident and not the natural course of things.

Does it matter when it comes to love?

  1. He is more mature than you. Remember: your age does not determine your maturity.

A 40-year-old can be very immature, while a 20-year-old can be extremely sober in perceiving reality. Age is just a number and does not reflect the maturity of a person.

  1. He is no longer attractive to you. Be careful! Physical attraction is important, but true love is not based on lust alone.

Everyone loses their beauty one day. However, when someone loves you for who you are, it doesn’t matter.

He is in love with you. Appearance is just a packaging that deteriorates with time.

Love has an age only if you give it to it

All of this leads us to conclude that love is only old if you give it to it, and if you let it be your prejudices – which have nothing to do with reality – to guide you.

Think of all the situations where you said opposites attracted. This is probably true for some couples, but not for others.

Love has age only if you believe that age determines health and physical condition. By thinking this way, you are diminishing what is most important, which is true love.

It doesn’t matter if a 20-year-old falls in love with a 40-year-old (or more). What matters is that they are happy and love each other.

What will be tommorow? Nobody knows this, but you can be sure it will all be over some day.

Age difference is not a certainty of parting.  If that were the case, the people closest to each other in age would have the best chance of being together (which, of course, is not true).

Thinking that love has age, you only limit yourself and make conditions before you meet someone, you don’t even give yourself a chance to change your mind.

Love is fluid, unexpected, it surprises us and allows us to broaden our horizons. It should not be limited or held back when it appears in a way that is not what you would have liked or imagined.

You shouldn’t believe love has an age. It’s like saying it has an expiration date. Such thinking deprives you of the chance to experience something that can last a lifetime, against all expectations, a beautiful and reckless feeling.
